Mark Vitshteyn
for Vice President

Three Generations of Leadership.
One Clear Vision.

The point of the Vice President is not to hear about the Vice President.

Why I'm Running

Mark Vitshteyn

I want to be Vice President to serve this fraternity, not for housing points or resume credit. ΑΕΠ has served me. Now I serve ΑΕΠ.

Legacy of Leadership

My Big, Grand-Big, and Great-Grand-Big all served as Vice President. This legacy drives me to push the position further than ever before.

Building on Strong Foundations

Gilmurray reshaped this role through philanthropy, organization, and behind-the-scenes leadership. I will continue this momentum, strengthen existing systems, and expand our impact on campus.

The Quiet Operator

The best Vice Presidents work behind the scenes. They ensure operations run smoothly, the President has full support, and brotherhood thrives. No credit needed. Just results.

The Platform

My vision centers on four core priorities: transformative philanthropy, sustainable operations, stronger brotherhood, and measurable results.

Philanthropy: The Main Focus

Building a recognizable, respected philanthropic identity for ΑΕΠ

1

New Major Philanthropy Events

Inter-Fraternity DJ Event for Charity

A large, campus-wide DJ and music event with other fraternities and sororities. This builds visibility, brings communities together, and raises significantly more money than smaller events.

  • Contacted DJs who play at other fraternities
  • Confirmed interest from multiple DJs
  • Reached out to other fraternities about co-hosting the event
  • Started outlining the setup (venue, tickets, equipment)
Bring Back Blood Drives

Partner with the Red Cross to re-establish ΑΕΠ-led blood drives as a recurring, semester-long commitment.

  • Researched three blood-drive companies that work with campuses
  • Found contact info and compared scheduling options
2

Long-Term Charity Partnerships

Build Real Relationships

Work with multiple reputable charities consistently. No more random one-off events. Create a recognizable, meaningful philanthropic identity for ΑΕΠ on campus.

Strategic Impact

This approach makes fundraising easier, more impactful, and more respected across campus and Greek life.

3

Brotherhood-Based Philanthropy

Get brothers involved with time and effort, not just dollars.

  • Habitat for Humanity builds
  • Food drives and food bank volunteering
  • Animal shelter volunteering
  • Campus cleanup days

These activities show the campus ΑΕΠ gives time and effort. This builds our reputation beyond fundraising.

4

Improving Philanthropy Operations

Coordination with Philanthropy Chairs

Work closely to avoid duplicate events like the two pickleball tournaments this semester.

Strategic Planning

Streamline planning, create semester calendars early, and diversify events.

Event Standards

Never repeat the same event twice unless proven to be highly impactful.

Philanthropy Week

Coordinate with Social to find the right weekend. Plan a Thursday through Saturday schedule focused on maximum participation and impact.

Sponsorship Program

Creating sustainable funding for bigger events and stronger operations

Establish a Sponsorship Chair as a permanent Minor Board position. This person works directly with Social, Rush, and Philanthropy to secure partnerships.

Energy drink sponsorships
Restaurant and food sponsors
Apparel deals
Local business donations

I have real experience doing sponsorship outreach. I will work with this chair to help secure good partnerships.

Rush and Pledge Process

Supporting recruitment through operational excellence

My goal is to be the background operator ensuring everything runs smoothly. I stay involved in every internal communication channel to help the President and Exec keep the chapter operating cleanly.

  • Maintaining structure
  • Helping with logistics
  • Keeping lines of communication open
  • Ensuring events and expectations are clearly communicated

This role is about stability, reliability, and making sure everything gets done. Not credit.

Minor Board Overview & Improvements

Strengthening every position for maximum chapter impact

Academic Chair

Academics, professionalism, and growth

  • Help brothers and pledges book study rooms regularly
  • Organize the Brotherhood Professional Day
  • Run internship and LinkedIn improvement sessions

Philanthropy Chairs

Central to rebuilding ΑΕΠ's philanthropic identity

  • Work closely with VP to avoid duplicate or low-impact events
  • Coordinate new signature events like the DJ fundraiser
  • Manage charity partnerships

T-Shirt Chair

Time for a reset

  • We are leaving Fresh Prints. Seniors confirmed designs used to be much better and cheaper.
  • Create polls before designs so the entire brotherhood contributes

Jewish Involvement Chair

They have been doing a great job. The most consistent Minor Board members this semester.

  • Keep up strong partnerships with Hillel, Chabad, and Sinai
  • Support Jewish identity and Jewish life events throughout the semester

BPL Commissioner

BPL needs structure. Right now, scheduling and game counts are the biggest issues.

Already coordinated with Graham: next semester's pledges will have a guaranteed hour each week dedicated to playing BPL games. This fixes the biggest scheduling bottleneck and ensures fairness.

Intramural (IM) Chair

IM should not be the same rotating 20 people every sport

  • Increase broader participation in flag football, kickball, softball, and other sports
  • Join the Greek Basketball Association and let more brothers experience competitive play

Weekend Chairs

They did a great job this semester. Keep supporting them.

  • Maintain strong planning and coordination
  • Allow creativity for new theme weekends or collaborations

Sponsorship Chair (New)

A key new position

  • Work with Social to secure energy drink sponsors, food sponsors, and apparel giveaways
  • Work directly with the VP to leverage sponsorship outreach experience

Four Flagship Initiatives

New programs to strengthen brotherhood and chapter culture

1

Brotherhood Spotlight Series

Monthly brother highlight for achievements, contributions, or growth. Recognize excellence within the chapter.

2

Interfraternity Die Tournament for Charity

A large die tournament involving other fraternities and sororities to raise money. Fun, competitive, and impactful.

3

Brotherhood Professional Day

Alumni and older brothers speak on internships, careers, and recruiting. Real advice from real experience.

4

Big-Little Competition Day

Fun event where Bigs and Littles compete in games, trivia, and challenges. Strengthen family bonds.

Leadership and Vision

"The point of the Vice President is not to hear about the Vice President."

The Vice President is the quiet operator behind the scenes.

Things run smoothly
The President is supported
Minor Board is organized
Communication is clear
Brotherhood events happen on time
Philanthropy is strong and consistent

My goal is to leave this position stronger than I found the role, just as my Bigs did before me.
